Old Owl
As the wise , old owl perched on the tree, the branches stretched out like witches fingers ready to slowly introduce you to your death. When a little boy hears the hoot of an owl, he is immediately drawn closer, as if he is in a trance. The stars crept behind the clouds, fearing what they might see. ‘’Who are you?’’ the wind seemed to whistle in a nasty tone. ‘’M-my n-name i-i-is L-liam’’ stuttered Liam nervously. He felt fear and horror deep inside him. Liam wondered, what will happen to me?
This week we have been learning about DASH? paragraphs for adventure stories.
- D = describe the setting
- A = use action
- S = use speech
- H = describe how the character is feeling
- ? = use a cliffhanger or rhetorical question
We wrote collaboratively and used a writing frame for this learning task, then we wrote our own paragraphs today.
